DANNY RIVERA:
Known as "La Voz del Pueblo" — The Voice of the People — for his commitment to Puerto Rican nationalism, Danny Rivera is more than your usual romantic balladeer. "I work for my country and represent it with honesty," Rivera says as he prepares for May 6,2010 concert at the Carnegie Hall in Manhattan. The concert with  Grammy winner  Michel Camilo and Marcos Antonio Muñiz. The only Puerto Rican to have played  three consecutive shows at Carnegie Hall, Rivera is bringing New York audiences the classic ballads that have made him famous and a sought-after singer by Spanish greats such as Plácido Domingo and Julio Iglesias.
In the last years, he has appeared here in Teatro Pregones' musical "The Red Rose." "My great fortune has been to know who I am," says Rivera of his Puerto Rican heritage. Growing up in the Santurce neighborhood of San Juan during the 1950s mambo craze, he started singing in the evangelical church choir.

MICHEL CAMILO:
He is a composer and pianist extraordinaire. He is a bandleader, lecturer, and visiting professor. He is a chart-topping producer; a Grammy, Latin Grammy and Emmy award winner. He is the recipient of his native countryís highest civilian honors. Michel Camilo is all of these things and more, wrapped in a human being of boundless enthusiasm, musical passion, and love of life. The artistry and virtuosity of Michel Camilo bridges the genres of Jazz, Classical, Popular and World music. He is a pianist with a brilliant technique and a composer who flavors his tunes with the spice of Caribbean rhythms and jazz harmonies.
